Display ad specifications - azonetwork

There are various display ad options with AZoNetwork. Each of our 12 subject specific websites have large audiences totalling over 120 million unique users per year.

This blog will look at the various options available to marketers to reach these audiences with display advertising across the AZoNetwork.

Display ads for desktop

Leaderboard and Mrec (medium rectangle) ads appear at the top of the page on desktop. Your leaderboard ad will appear at the top of the page and your Mrec ad will appear in the right sidebar.

  • Leaderboard: 728 x 90 pixels
  • Mrec: 300 x 250 pixels
  • Max image size: 150kb
  • Media type: jpg, gif, png

This is an example on News-Medical of both a leaderboard and Mrec ad. These are both gif format so grab the users attention more than a still image might do.

Display ads on Mobile

Over half of the traffic across the AZoNetwork comes through mobile so there are also display ad options for mobile. Both leaderboard and Mrec ads are available on mobile too, but please note the mobile leaderboard is smaller (300 x 50).

For mobile the sizes are slightly different. For mobile, Mrec ads will appear in the article rather than on the right sidebar.

  • Mrec: 300 x 250 pixels
  • Max image size: 150kb
  • Media type: jpg, gif, png

Tower display ads

There is also the option on News-Medical to display tower ads. There are 2 types of tower ads: 300 x 600 (tower a) and 160 x 600 (tower b). The half-page tower ad below is the largest display ad option and displays in the right sidebar of the page.

  • Tower (a): 300 x 600 pixels
  • Max image size: 150kb
  • Media type: jpg, gif, png

Please note that both of the tower ad options are only available on News-Medical and not on the other AZoNetwork sites.

The other tower ad option below is similar to the one above (same height) and displays in the right sidebar of the page.

  • Tower (b): 160 x 600 pixels
  • Max image size: 150kb
  • Media type: jpg, gif, png

We can also manage tags from advertising systems, like Google Campaign Manager.
