National Periodic Table Day was founded in 2015 with the goal of promoting the challenges that were overcome to develop the modern periodic table.

March 2024

Friday 8th March - International Women's Day

On 8 March 2024, the world will celebrate International Women's Day. This is a day to challenge stereotypes of women, broaden perceptions of what is possible and celebrate women's achievements.

Friday 15th March - World Sleep Day

World Sleep Delegates and sleep health advocates across the world took action to raise awareness of sleep health.

Thursday 21st March - World Down Syndrome Day

World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), 21 March, is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012.

Friday 22nd March - World Water Day

Dysfunction throughout the water cycle is undermining progress on all major global issues, from health to hunger, gender equality to jobs, education to industry, disasters to peace. Back in 2015, the world committed to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 as part of the 2030 Agenda – the promise that everyone would have safely managed water and sanitation by 2030.

Sunday 24th March - World Tuberculosis Day

Originally from south Spain, Sara has always had a passion for telling stories. She has a degree in Journalism, a degree in Audiovisual Communication and a level 3 Distinction diploma in Digital Marketing. Sara started her career in 2014, in the Design department of a language academy in Madrid as part of her University course. At the beginning of 2016, Sara moved to Manchester whilst working on completing her second degree course. Feeling two degrees were not enough, she undertook a level 3 Digital Marketing apprenticeship, managing everything Marketing & Design for hair and beauty brands. Apart from Marketing, Sara loves anything creative. This includes illustration, crafting and crotcheting. Her rural upbringing has also given her a surprising amount of knowledge about farming and cats.
